Boil Water Notice Recind

July 21, 2025

On 7/18/2025, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Brookesmith
Special Utility District, public water system, PWS 0250004, to issue a Boil Water Notice to
inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in
the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior
to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the
water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption
purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no
longer requires boiling prior to use as of 7/21/2025.

Boil Water Notice

July 18, 2025

Due to the water leak that we had today on CR 133, Brookesmith SUD is issuing a Boil Water Notice. The only customers that are affected by this Boil Water Notice are the ones that live on County Road 133 and County Road 105 on the West Side of Hwy 279. Please refer to our website for more information. BSUD will issue a notice to customers that recinds the boil water notice in a manner similar to this alert.
